Where to get it?

FTP to ftp://legacy.muq.org/pub/legacy/glowmuck to get your very own copy of the GlowMuck server. If you'd rather use HTTP instead of FTP click HERE. The software is FREEWARE but has all restrictions that the original TinyMuck code and FuzzBall modifications impose.

The most recommended operating system to run GlowMuck on is Linux or another unix flavor. So far it has shown to work well on 64 bit unix systems. We also have a version that runs (slightly limited) under Windows 95. If you have trouble compiling or running GlowMuck on a particular operating system it supports, send e-mail to legacy@legacy.muq.org or check out the mailing list archives for help. Check the 'docs' directory in the distribution for installation instructions. We highly recommend anyone wanting to set up a GlowMuck of their own to first be proficient in TinyMuck building and Muf programming, or have someone at your disposal who is.
